His career began in the Royal Air Force, where he served for several years, including active deployments overseas. After leaving the RAF, Matt transitioned into financial services, applying the skills and values gained in the military to build a career centred on professionalism, integrity and client care. Katie is our in‑house Protection Specialist and Paraplanner, bringing extensive knowledge across all areas of personal and family protection. She advises on everything from safeguarding your home, to creating a financial safety net for your income, to ensuring your loved ones are protected should the unexpected happen.
With a strong background in financial services, Katie’s experience has become a core part of the foundations of Gordon Associates. She works diligently behind the scenes, liaising with lenders, insurers and solicitors to ensure every application progresses smoothly. Her attention to detail and proactive communication help keep clients fully informed throughout both the mortgage and protection process.
As a parent herself, Katie has a particular passion for protection planning—especially when it comes to children’s cover. She takes a logical, realistic approach to insurance, always aiming to secure the maximum level of cover at the most cost‑effective price. Her calm, empathetic nature shines through in every client interaction, and she is highly regarded for the supportive relationships she builds with our customers.

This is the third mortgage Matt and team have obtained for me, and every time they have been incredible. They've found better affordability and better rates than I have on the market, meaning we could afford a bigger house than we thought. Throughout the whole process everything was made easy, explained well to us efficiently and response time was incredibly fast. Matt kept us in the loop at all times and even after we had our offer constantly checked wether there were better rates up until the end. Actually getting the offer was made so simple by Matt, especially being self employed, I found any worries i may have had were taken away completely after discussing with him!
